Rules
Rules
Actually, that looks a bit intimidating. It's too strict… How about this:
Guidelines
There, that's better. That would've been funnier in real-life. But this is typing, so it's okay. :D
This page is an overview of the guidelines you should follow to be a member. Following these rules may earn you a promotion - As you get up the ranks, (member -> moderator -> administrator,) you'll receive priority in various things such as suggestions.
A Few Things You Should Keep In Mind When Posting On EndGear
- + Respect others and their contributions - This includes people on EndGear and others who are not part of the site. Spammers will not be tolerated and will be immediately removed. Remember, debating is debating, don't let it become loose and making it into an argument!
- + Grammar and spelling - Make sure if you are posting in the English language, check your spelling and grammar, not with posts like, "I dun wana take care of mi speling." Please take the time to check over your post before making one. Also, the administrators have full rights to correct the spelling and grammar in a post, but they do not have permission to edit your content! Remember, the shift key and your proofreading talents are there for a reason! Though, you DO have some freedom in posting, so any missing commas, periods, and so on will not be regarded as "bad". (Posting with proper grammar and spelling can result in a promotion!) Swearing and profanity will not be criticized, but refrain from using it as it is considered offensive language and is in breach of RULE 1.
- + Be constructive - Don't criticize something such as site content without providing a suggestion on how to improve it. Instead of saying, "This webpage sucks.", try posting as "This webpage sucks - I think it should contain more content!"
- + Post correctly! - When posting on a thread, you should keep in mind that there are two different types of posting. First of all, you can choose new post, which starts a new post, without any nesting (indented posts). If you wish to reply to someone's post, visit their post and select the reply button. By choosing this, your post will be nested so it is visible that you have replied to somebody else's post. If you wish to delete a post, contact either the creator of EndGear, XIronManX, or any forum moderator.
- + Be mature - There is no tolerance for spam of any kind. Also, no flaming will be accepted on EndGear. These aren't very hard rules to follow by, since EndGear was created for discussion! Remember to post with maturity, but there is still room to joke around! :)
That's the guidelines for now.
(An extra tip: If you plan on 'signing' your posts, make sure to format them under the subscript feature, like this: -(YOUR USERNAME HERE). To do this, use double commas around the desired text.)
