The Xbox 360 is obviously better aside from the fact they break a lot. I can't think of a single person (myself included) who is not at least on their second 360. It has better games though and achievements are unreasonably addictive. Also, although Xbox Live is p2p, it is far more organized and comprehensive than Sony's Playstation Network and whatever crap online system Nintendo has these days.
Haha, I think I might use that quote one day, roflcakes…

I must agree, Nintendo has a pretty crappy online system!!!
I wouldn't be entirely sure about the Sony's Playstation Network - The Playstation 3 does lack the user interface and media interaction, but at least you don't have to pay to use online!

Yeah, its sort of the ultimate argument between 360 and PS3 fans: Would you rather have free online, or an online service that's really organized and has a universal friend list?
Question: When on PS3 online system, do you have the features of messaging or headset talking? Because that may be another reason, that you have to pay for the 360. Anyway, from what I've heard, it's worth the $60 for a year or somthing, and I only usually play it to tick other people off online with my different voice accents and playing abilities. Great Fun!:)
I think, cage, you've made a good point there. The PS3 does lack social networking features! But lets get back on topic here - Xbox 360 vs. Nintendo Wii! To add to the cons of the Xbox, I find the achievement points that you can receive from playing games can be just a bit overdone, like on the PS3. I can't be credible for stating that this happens on the Xbox, but when I was playing a copy of my PS3 game, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, I found the rewards and medals (achievements) that could be unlocked ranged from ridiculously easy to near impossible. Medals such as 10 headshots, killing someone with close-combat and other really basic awards like those. Also, on the Xbox 360 you can "cheat" the achievements system… Well, to an extent. The games for the 360 are endless; some are childish kiddy games and some are MLG hardcore. So you say no one plays these kiddy games anyways? Well, you'd be surprised. A movie-turned-game such as "Surf's Up" features great wave riding and surfing, but it also has achievements behind it, despite its extremely cut-off storyline. The achievements are extremely easy to rack in from this game - Going off a wave earns you many points, never mind the points you can get from collecting "shells" which are obtained through various courses. There are a total of only 29 achievements, which earns you… 1000 achievement points. Ridiculous? Yes.
Even though that was highly irrelevant, I recommend renting that game for the 360 and earning some easy points! ;)

You have to pay for Xbox Live - So, even though every other type of gaming and every other console has free connection and full capabilities on the internet, Microsoft decided that they would make you pay for it. You already pay a few hundred dollars for the basic sytem, then you have to spend about $60 per game, and about that for every controller, and up to $100 for simply connecting to the internet, you STILL have to $60 for a year of Xbox Live. On PS3 you get it for free, on the Wii you get it for free, and on the computer you get it for free. But on the Xbox? Nope, you gotta pay.
I have a big issue with this. You might have to pay for Xbox Live, yet the Xbox 360 has a much better online experience. Wii and PS3 have free online but lack voice communication, making it pointless. It'd be much smarter just to play with bots if that is an option. Xbox Live offers lots of games that have amazing multiplayer that could last decades. Party systems in most mulitplayer games make it easier for you to get together with your friends and play, online.
This shows that the Xbox, as you kids say, PWNS the Wii and PS3 when it comes to online.
Also toddtalk, most of the games that have broken were probably due to the amount you've played with them. Eg -> Rock Band. But unfortunately, you make a good point. Microsoft needs to make stronger (literally) games.
I'd like to place a rebuttal on what XBrain EaterX said above about the pointlessness of having online play. The primary reason for online is so that you can game with your friends, not have long phone conversations over them. Secondly, the overall financial loss from getting a PS3 or a Wii compared to buying a Xbox 360 and paying for Xbox Live, monthly/yearly (I'm not sure), has a wide margin. If you think about it, it adds up.
But, I'd also like to mention the lack of PS3 owners, let alone people who use the online compatibility on the Playstation, or the Wii's online features.

The verdict?
Well, I don't think I'm in the right position to declare that, since we have no points mentioned! It's been really off-track; I think we should make this thread "Xbox 360 vs. PS3"?
-XIronManX
Well the fact is that there's really no comparison. Wii is fun, but it's obviously not a serious game machine.
I think roflcakes_with_lemon has stated the obvious here, but something that we should've all realized earlier on in this debate. :)
Xbox 360 wins.
Though, you can continue to post about why you think Wii isn't bad or why Xbox 360 isn't good!

roflcakes_with_lemon -> "Wii is fun…"
but isn't the point of video games to be fun?
Wii is fun and accessible enough for many to enjoy it. It all depends on personal taste.
For hardcore gamers, the 360 may be better due to it's competitive online gaming.
However, for casual gamers or those with objections to Halo (NOT me, by the way), Wii would probably be their choice.
Personal preference. And it doesn't really matter, as they are both doing very well :)

Um, actually, Nintendo, if anything, would be losing money right now. They're the only company so far who others have created "flashcards" for downloading DS/Wii games onto a memory card/disc/etc. Of course, this isn't Nintendo's fault, but their games are starting lack and become repetitive. Of course (again), it happens to ALL video game producers/companies, as games like Call Of Duty are slowly becoming redudant and repetitive of their predecessors and even their successors as well. I just hope Nintendo comes up with some more "new" stuff, rather than repeating the same characters again and again. Maybe that's the stuff kids go for these days. Cartoon re-runs of the same episode… Again and again, until they can narrate the whole episode by heart. :P

WII ROX YOUR SOX!!! XD
Wii is a pretty good console, eh? But it would help if you provided some facts/arguments, MachoTomato.
By the way, your repost was deleted. That was almost warning 2, but I'll let it stack onto your first warning. Be careful on what you post. In other words, no posting the identical message twice; that's spam.
-XIronManX
how is that considered spam?!?
It's RE-ENFORCEMENT!!!
and besides, Wii is so osome that it doesn't need any credentials.
woops, I said it was osome…
I meant awesome…
only I'm Osome…
I think the X-Box 360 is better.
I think it has better graphics, and I like Halo.
