Hey! Roflcakes here, making my dramatic return to Endgear. I have been listening to a lot of music lately and was trying to think of a fun way to determine the favorite bands of the collective Endgear population.

I've decided to make it into a sort of game. Each member who posts in this thread will post their five favorite artists. Each member can only make this post once. However, each member also has one opportunity to reply with a quote to any post by another member that erases one of their choices. Eventually I hope that every member of the site will have made their contribution at which point we will see which artists we have on our list.

Or did you want a promotion onto adminstrator?

Tell us which one you would like to apply for, but makes sure you follow the ranks (no hopping from member to administrator): member -> moderator -> adminstrator.

Any questions, comments, or concerns about promotions and ranks can be answered here. Also, abuse reports against other users can be filed here as well, such as administrators and moderators abusing their rights. Ex.) Removing valid posts, editing posts that have nothing wrong with them, etc.

Scenes from a Hat- Forum Edition

Okay, so basically, if you haven't seen Who's Line is it Anyway?, What you do for Scenes from a Hat is you think of an awkward situation, and normally, you would act out a a response to that.

That didn't make much sense, but maybe if I explain the Forum version, it'll help! So what you do is:

you think of your situation, and post it underlined
next poster will write the "response" to that situation, or how it's carried out/what's said
that person may, after they have responded, may either post a new scene for the next person to respond or say "continue" IN BOLD if they want the previous scene to go on. Here's an example:

Post 1: Things not to say at your Grandfather's funeral

Post 2: "Don't worry Grandma, you'll join him soon!"

continue!

Post 3: One down, three to go…

Things not to say when your best friend jumps off a cliff.

I hope that wasn't too confusing… but it's really funny! Beware some of the responses, they can get… um… XD yeah. You know :P Please play though!

Realistic Fiction vs. Fantasy

Not sure if this will receive many posts… but it's worth a shot :). Over my lifetime, I can safely say I've probably read over 900+ books… no jokes :P. Fantasy and Realistic are my favourites, and I constantly hear opinions as to which is better. Fantasy, because it allows you to "dream" and Realistic Fiction because "you could relate to it." There's also been some arguments, but I'm just curious as to what others think ;). Also, with either genre, it can include another genre, such as Action-Realistic Fiction or a Mystery-Fantasy, you know?

So what do YOU say?

Okay, so some of you might know this game- all I can say is, it can be pretty hilarious if you have a wild mind! So basically, the first post will wish for something, and the next post will grant the wish, except, something will be wrong with it. Here's an example:

First Post: I wish I had a cookie!

Second Post: Granted, but your cookie is made of poo! I wish I could play professional baseball…

Lol, and so on. So the next post will respond to the last, and also make a wish after they've "corrupted" the first one. It's really funny if you play it right!

Concerts

Well, with this week having some MAJOR concert announcements, Cage (me, I like to refer to myself as third person sometimes) was thinking of making a new thread. So boys and girls, the concert section is now here!
Some concerts that were announced this week, in my hometown of Winnipeg, were Coldplay and none other the Kevin, Joe and Nick, the Jonas Brothers. So a bit for both adults and Disney fans out there in June.
Some other concerts coming to da 'peg are: Steve Bell (GMBC) lol, Mobile, Black Label Society, Beyonce, Nickelback, New Kids on the Block and the Weakerthans. Sorry for you Britney Spears fans, you have to go to Minneapolis to see her :(.
If you guys have been to a concert (for example Underoath tonight) you can for sure leave a review for other endgear members to read about the concert.

Halo Wars with 3 Mythic Maps - Is it really worth it?

This Tuesday Halo Wars for the Xbox 360 came out. Costing the 60 dollars that it is some people think Halo Wars isn't worth the buy. Yet Microsoft threw in 3 of the long awaited Mythic Map Packs. Views, thoughts, spam?

Arby 'n The Chief vs. Family Guy

To start off, both of these shows were intended for the older youth, so content is inappropriate in both areas. Arby 'n The Chief was created for more of the gamer area, while Family Guy are for TV addicts. Even though Arby 'n The Chief may not be a TV show, it still remains as a popular comedy which is viewed by thousands of people, along with Family Guy.

So, tell everyone which side you support more and why!

Game Releases + Reviews

Like the thread description says, post your game reviews and new releases here.

You should follow a basic template when posting a game review. It would be preferred if you have played the game, better yet own it. Remember to include the items in this order:

Title of the game.
What system did you play this game on?
Game producer(s).
Game genre/ESRB rating.
Your thoughts on gameplay, graphics and sound.
Final ratings for gameplay, graphics and sound. (Out of 10 - Half values accepted, i.e. 7.5/10)
Recommended?

Likewise for the game releases, follow a simple template:

Title of the game.
What systems is it coming out for or what has it come out for?
Release date?
Game producer(s).
Game genre/ESRB rating. (If there isn't one, you get to think one up.)
Recommeded?

Reviews for consoles and software (including third party) are accepted, as long as they are unbiased. If you have something you want to debate, please remember that there is a thread for that!

Comics!- Those were hilarious! I really like the second one.
Quick response to suggestions. There is nothing I like more about a site admin than one that listens to his/her members and responds quickly!

Comedy vs. Action?

To start off, I think I have to vote for both. I am a fan of comedy - I love the great laughs from a movie, but I'm also an equally passionate fan of action movies. The suspense, the thrill; it seems like I've just gotten off a roller coaster ride after I've watched some movies!

Some great action movies are (off the top of my head):
-Live Free or Die Hard
-Matrix Trilogy (it does seem a bit sci-fi as well…)
-War movies (the list goes on…)
-Shoot 'em Up
-Smokin' Aces
-Lucky Number Slevin
-War (it's a movie, trust me)

Some equally great comedies:
-Harold and Kumar (1 & 2)
-Get Smart
-Role Models
-Pink Panther (1 & 2)
-Spaceballs
-Monty Python and the Holy Grail
-Kung Fu Hustle
-Twilight (it's such a joke, right? Nahhh, I'm just joking…) :D

Please note that the above titles may contain offensive language and/or suggestive themes that should not be viewed by the younger audience. Viewer discretion is advised when watching these.

Anyways, those were just some flicks I've seen before. Argue for which side is better!

Vampires vs. Werewolves

Vampires are obviously better because in the Twilight series, Bella picks Edward over Jacob (jacob is a werewolf) so clearly, vampires are better. (you better know that Edward is a vampire!!!!)

24 vs. CSI

Here's where you can debate on which show is better, 24 or CSI? (Note: Try to refer to CSI: Miami and CSI: New York when debating.)

I personally find 24 as my favourite show - Keifer Sutherland is a great actor, though the show might not be intended for young children as it contains violence, crime drama, and… Torture. It's a great show nonetheless, and I prefer it for the action and the real-time that it features. Got something to say about CSI? Post it here!

Xbox 360 vs. Nintendo Wii

The Xbox 360 is obviously better aside from the fact they break a lot. I can't think of a single person (myself included) who is not at least on their second 360. It has better games though and achievements are unreasonably addictive. Also, although Xbox Live is p2p, it is far more organized and comprehensive than Sony's Playstation Network and whatever crap online system Nintendo has these days.
